Congratulations to Alicia and Sue for their outstanding volunteer efforts this year. Our families are what make our school so special.
Last Saturday I joined with another Charter school in Orlando to present at the Florida Gifted Conference in Sarasota County. The topic was our Viet Nam Project. At that conference I was very excited to talk to people from all over Central Florida who knew about Lutz Preparatory School and commented that we are a shinning example of what is good in public education.
In particular, those teachers and administrators from Hillsborough County at the conference had nothing but glowing remarks of our reputation in the community even though we are in our first year. We’ve done some amazing things and our families and teachers are to be commended for that success.
Our first year is coming to an end. The future is bright. Next year will be just as special. Education can be individualized for each student.
Thank you to our teachers, students and their families.
By the way, the permitting process for the expansion is moving ahead. As soon as school is out we will see activity on the project.
